Song: Wob-A-Ly Walk

Written by Bud Green, Harry Warren

"There's a place I found where the jazz bands pound, that¹s where I learned to do the WOB-A-LY WALK." So sang bandleader Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians at one of their earliest recording sessions for RCA Victor in 1927. Lyricist Bud Green, who also composed the million-selling Shapiro Bernstein hit "Alabamy Bound," wrote this novelty song with composer Harry Warren. Wob-A-Ly Walk has also been recorded by the Pasadena Roof Orchestra, jazz man Sammy Stewart, Bill Carlsen and the Manhattan Rhythm Kings.
